Vellum

Vellum is a refined library-management workspace built for rare-book dealers, private collectors and institutional curators. Five routes cover an Overview that surfaces insurance value, recent provenance entries and condition profile; a Library catalogue with era / status / language / condition filters and dual grid/list views; an Acquisitions ledger that records every transaction with source type, lot number and currency; an Exhibitions board for tracking venues, loans and curatorial partners; and a Network directory of dealers, collectors, institutions and auction houses.

Each volume carries a provenance trail, a binding type, an era, a cataloguing-grade condition rating, an insurance value, and a gradient mini-cover that doubles as a bookplate. The dashboard layers a value-spend timeline, an era distribution bar, a condition profile chart, a featured-volumes strip, and snippets of recent acquisitions and active exhibitions, all driven by realistic mock data spanning Vesalius, Galileo, the First Folio, the Audubon double-elephant folio and more.

Everything runs client-side against a Zustand store, with pure derivation helpers exported alongside the store to keep selectors safe from infinite-loop pitfalls. Light/dark mode and 42 color themes ship out of the box across both radix-ui and base-ui variants.
